So Tesco takes on "derelict or vandalised pubs, not those which are still actively trading" (Supermarkets that swallow pubs threaten social fabric, says Camra, 20 November)? This comes as a surprise to us here in Suffolk, where the store is pushing ahead with plans to replace the Pakefield Tramway and the Ipswich Emperor with supermarkets.
